I decided to do my first link up today and join all of these lovely ladies with their Follow Through Friday.
So, my goal is pretty basic.....Get back in my 2011 jeans. In order to do this I will track everything I put in my mouth on MFP and in January I will do the JM challenge every single day. I'd like to start doing some interval training on the treadmill this week on the days I have extra time instead of double dating with Jillian.
I've done well eating wise. NO CHEATS yet! Here's Monday-Thursday......
As far as Jillian, I've stuck to it everyday for 8 days straight. There's been 3 times that I've doubled up and done more than 1 video or more than 1 level because well, I could.
I've been drinking 100oz of water a day at least too. I was having many days of none at all over the past few months. I don't realize how much I miss it until I'm drinking a lot again. The more I drink, the more I want.
I weighed myself today since I had last Friday and I'm still exactly the same. I told Eric this morning this is why people quit their resolutions. All this hard work and showing absolutely no progress. In my case, I may not weigh again for quite some time. I hate to admit it but it kinda puts me in a funk. I'm trying to focus less on the number and more on how my clothes fit but in the beginning we don't see a lot of change clothing wise so the validation from the scale is nice. I do have to say, this is the 1st time in all of history that I haven't had a good loss week 1 of a "diet". I've lost weight many many times and week 1 is always a 3-6 pound loss for me. I'm sure it's mostly water weight, but it's a loss I can't account for this time and it's kinda thrown me off. All I can do is keep busting through and hope big things happen.
Do you think I need to eat a little more? I'm not about eating my calories I've worked off back, but maybe I should make sure I'm hitting that goal.
I did have a little NSV this week. My favorite thing in the whole wide world is coffee. Mucho calorie caramel drizzled coffee. I have a little local coffee shop that I go to at least 4 out of 5 days it's open and I haven't been there once since Saturday. She makes me a yummy 90 cal sugar free coffee that I'm thinking about getting either today or tomorrow though. I used to drink those but slowly progressed back into the full sugar 100s of calorie ones for some reason. Not only did it save me over 300 calories pretty much everyday this week, it's saved me about $20.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed I can keep it in check this weekend. This is actually the only weekend until March that we don't have something going on so I should be ok. I was thinking about taking my girls to see Frozen at some point but we shall see. Have a great weekend!

You are doing great! I would make sure you are eating 1400-1800 (good) calories since you are burning. I have a long ways to go and even though MFP says I should only be eating 1200 calories i always do 1400. As long as you dont make it up with a snickers you should be golden!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up!! I would agree with Kimmyyy, you may need to eat more calories but make sure they're coming from healthy options. I always start my mornings with a fruit and almond milk smoothie topped with chia seeds and vanilla protein powder. It seems to start my day of right and give me lots of energy. Great work on the water! I need to try to get 100oz a day too!
ReplyDeleteI agree with both my ladies! I would suggest taking small steps and making small substitutions. Stick with fruit in the morning, and veggies and nuts in the afternoon. I also try to stick with a plan for two weeks to see what happens before I make any changes!! Keep us up to date!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up!!!

You are rocking it! I don't know if you read my post, but I broke up with me scale for this exact reason. You otherwise were very proud of what you had done until you saw that number. Hate that scale! Thanks for linking up! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat job! You're on the right track and doing well. I agree with everyone else that you might want to try more calories. Bodies need fuel! Thanks for linking up!
